Idiap Research Institute is an independent, nonprofit research foundation based in Martigny, Switzerland. Its activities encompass fundamental research, teaching, and technology transfer activities in the area of artificial intelligence. The institute’s research fields include machine learning, human-machine interaction, robotics, language analysis, social computing, genomics, and bio-imaging. Idiap’s activities are conducted by eleven research groups. Idiap is recognized as an active research institution in AI in Europe.
